Dr Guay was born and bred in Singapore and graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) degree from the National University of Singapore in 2010. During his undergraduate years, he was a recipient of multiple academic awards such as the TP Dental Surgeons Medal, SDA President’s Medal, University Medal, Edmund Tay Mai Hiong Gold Medal, Mummery Medal, SDA Medal and the University Bronze Medal. He was also placed on the Dean’s List for 4 consecutive years.
Upon graduation, Dr Guay served as a dental officer in National Healthcare Group Polyclinics as well as Alexandra Hospital before entering private practice. In his years of practice, he has developed a strong passion for community dentistry, preferring to focus more on dental needs rather than wants. His areas of interest include removable prosthetics (dentures), dental implants, extractions and wisdom tooth surgeries.
Dr Guay enjoys working with all patients and believes that the key to establishing happy and long lasting patient-dentist relationships is the synergy of high quality treatment, honesty, patience and meticulous care. His goal is for his patients to end their visit with not just beautiful and healthy teeth but also with matching radiant smiles.

Why did you become a dentist/hygienist?
At its core, dentistry is an intimate marriage of art and science.
Since i was young, i’ve always wanted to be in a profession that is more hands-on, cerebral and dynamic as opposed to a deskbound job. Dentistry allows me to do just that in addition to helping people improve their appearance and quality of life.
What do you do in your free time?
I spend most of my free time with my wife and hyperactive 2 year old daughter.
When they are both asleep (and i am relieved of my duties as a husband and father), i unwind by playing video games.
What do you like most about your job?
Being a dentist allows me to make an appreciable difference in my patients’ lives. Whether its relieving a patient’s severe toothache or giving a patient a new set of dentures to chew and smile with, seeing a patient respond with appreciation and gratitude is undoubtedly the favorite part of my job.
